What’s been happening:

I am currently teaching Asian and European Art and Architectural History at McDaniel College in Westminster, Maryland. One of my goals at McDaniel is the establishment of an East Asian Studies Major and Minor. I travel regularly to China, and this summer will be taking my first group of students to Japan. This semester I am on sabbatical, working on a book manuscript on the theme of the "Scholar's Pavilion in Chinese Landscape Painting from the Song through the Qing Dynasties."
